New pads

So finally the cause of the screeching sound from my discs are in fact from the pads itself.

The warning tab of the pads are scratching against my disc.

PHEW !!
I thought for once my disc are screwed.

Got a replacement pads today.
I depart from my usual 550C Rapid Stop pads to give this Pumatec 680C pads a try.

Now I confidence in super hard braking is back knowing the pads are actually the cause of the sound.

A review will come up soon once my pads are past its run in period.

Stay tuned.

Replacement is nigh...

This is similar to what I am running on now.

Hopelessly terrible condition.

Have no choice but to bring forward my project by a few months.
Time to send these to for a makeover.

Unfortunately I would have to leave my baby there unless I can get a spare set of knuckle.

Hmm....

Or alternatively I can buy a replacement rotor first?

Decision decision decision..

Not forgetting I am still hunting for my rubbers..

Sigh..

[Review] Sneak Peek of some new addition

My absorbers is due for a change and I am contemplating to stick with stock or go over to the dark side, namely adjustables kit.

I sort of made up my mind to stick with stock and unfortunately my "bro" has to tag me in Facebook on the same day I made up my mind.
=.=

I spent the whole day staring at it and in the end, the heck with it, over to the dark side I shall go.

So out with the old...

...and in with the new...

... Improve Hyperflex Adjustable Suspension Kit.

A complete review will come up after I am done fine tuning the car.
It will be soon.

Stay tuned.
:)

Spend thrift

Last Wednesday was a mad mad day for me.

5k plus gone in a flash.
Literally.

What have I done?

I brought air tickets to Australia for my parents.
3k gone just like that.

Then my car is in need of a suspension make over.
Co-incidentally that particular morning I was contemplating of changing my suspension after work.
It was indeed true.

My bro-in-crime literally poison me for the whole day till I could not take it anymore.

Went to see him straight after work to get this fix.
Another 2.5k gone just like that.

Cilaka Drex for the poison.
LoL.

Will post up more about that later.

Adios for now.

[Review] AutoSpa Touch-Up Paint

As some of you know, I brought a AutoSpa Touch-up Paint to touch up some of the scratches and stone chip on my car paint job.

So here it goes.

Initially the plan is to give my car a thorough wash.

BUT...

found out that my garden hose is out of commission.

Anyway, I just gave my car a quick wash concentrating on the area where I plan to test out the AutoSpa Touch-up paint.

This is how the combination look like. The brush and the paint.

To use this, you have to
- Shake thoroughly before applying
- Make sure the surface area is CLEAN and DRY
- Apply the paint with a brush/toothpick on the scratched surface and wait 30 minutes for the paint to dry

Now the problem here is, I did not look up on how to apply this touch-up paint properly. I just go with my feeling.
It only came to me once I have done the first spot.

DOH !!!!

Anyway this is the before shot.

Front passenger door strip

Front passenger fender

Lightly dip the brush into the paint and then I apply it slowly by just touching or light brushing over the scratch surface.

Took me 5 minutes to complete this 2 spot as I readjust the paint work using the brush.

This is the after shot.

A closer look of the 2 location.

So from what I have done so far, I am pretty satisfied with the product but I am not satisfied with my handiwork.
Maybe it will be better the next time on a different car? Wait for my review as I am going to touch up a myvi pretty soon.

I would gladly recommend this to anyone who want to do their own touch up on their vehicle paint job.

As for now, I will ask uncle google to find out more on how I can improve my handiwork.

-Cheers-
